Hello, I am a birth doula in the SF east bay area. I have been working as a doula for two years and LOVE working with expecting families during this exciting time. I grew up in the small town of Canyon with many strong females in my family as well as others through out the community. They all have taught me to be true to myself and push on to achieve my goals because we all deserve it. At the age of 17, I graduated high school and moved away from home to help my best friend give birth to her first baby girl. This is when I knew that I wanted my future to be around childbirth, as it was such an amazing experience. It took me a while to grow up, but now I am actively pursuing my dreams to propel me into the future. I have obtained 2 associate degrees from Diablo Valley College in Allied Health and Natural Science and my bachelors degree from CSUEB in Health Science. In the future I plan to continue my education with a Masters in Nursing in the fall of 2020 to enhance my knowledge around the phenomenon of birth and be able to offer services to clients who may be looking for alternative options. Until then, I have begun my path as a massage therapist with education from McKinnon Massage Institute in Oakland, CA. I completed my CMT certificate at the end of 2014 and look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge about the body. Beyond Swedish massage, I focus on pre-natal massage, infant massage, elder massage, and the benefits of massage for all physical, mental and spiritual body health. I believe with a background in massage, I can establish a more trusting relationship with all of my clients which will allow me to benefit all of the many different individuals I will be assisting in my future.
